I Forgot To Wear My Underwear Today

Photo owned by National Geographic
After the viral “The Great Giraffe Challenge” swooped in facebook, here we go again with another silly yet fun phrase “I forgot to wear my underwear today” status viral.  Funny how people reacts and flood their comments with the status update of their friend.  As to what these commenters are, from what I have observed, they haven’t got any clue on what’s in it.  All they thought it is real and comment on a joke about what can happen during the day. I hate to break you this, you might want to research first or wait for an appropriate time to figure out what really it means.  Otherwise, the joke will be on you. Researching the fact that it is getting viral, unless you are a gamer, your initial reaction would be a fairly outrageous comment to the one who posted the said status.

The game.  It is not the status game of fun and tricks that is “the game” that I am referring to.  The status itself came from the game “Jet Set Radio Future (JSRF)” that was originally released in North America in the year 2000 for Dreamcast called “Jet Grind Radio”. The status “I forgot to wear my underwear today” came from the special touch of DJ Professor K to the periodic storyline updates during the game. So now you know.

According to http://noypistuff.blogspot.com, the status game goes like this:

"The person who likes/comments has to choose one of the following to post on his/her timeline:

          1. I've been in 42 relationships.
          2. I think I like someone, what should I do?
          3. My mom arranged me to a blind date.
          4. Someone invited me to be a prostitute, what should I do?
          5. I forgot to wear my underwear today.
          6. I am gonna confess... support me.
          7. I still love my ex.

Note: You should not explain anything, just post and leave it for at least a day."

     Enjoy and have fun!

I DON'T PLAY GAMES IN FACEBOOK!!

How to DISABLE Game Notifications in Facebook

This scenario has brought to my attention because a friend of mine has always been getting game notifications in facebook, as he does not play games--in facebook.  Ain't it annoying?!  So he then thought of deleting those friends who keeps on sending those annoying game requests. But you know, game developing does not end and in some point in time, one of your friends will send a game request.  As annoying as it can be, ignoring those requests can be frustrating to get your legit notifications.  So then, if you are this kind of user in facebook, in the long run, you might be deleting all of your friends eventually.

Some facebook users has no etiquette and/or consideration as to who they send their game requests.  But for those who does have, and does play games, BE careful sending those requests!

Knowing facebook right now (August, 2012) can be frustrating for it constantly change at the moment.  Finally, if you want to get rid of these unwanted notifications and keep your true friends and followers as well, I strongly recommend you to follow these three(3) simple steps that should help you get that frustration off.  Note that at first, it can be a handful disabling them but eventually it will be just as rare that you'll get one.

Step 1.  Click on the notification icon.

Step 2.  Hover your mouse over on the "x" located on the upper right corner then click on it.

Step 3.  Click on the "turn off" button.

Walaah! After these three(3) simple steps, you should not be able to receive any game requests from a particular game that you're not playing! Enjoy!
